Carol Marie Killoren passed away Sunday February 5, 2018 at her home. She was born October 18, 1927 in Carter, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Leetsa (Koch) Collins.

 

She was united in marriage to Donald James Killoren January 22, 1948. After traveling with Don in North and South Dakota, Wyoming and Florida with family business they settled in Appleton to raise their family of 7. She was life time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Appleton, Carol’s faith and family were very important to her, she sang in the church choir for over 60 years and enjoyed her many friends with the Thursday morning rosary group. Golfing, playing cards, lunch with her friends were some of her hobbies, along with knitting/ and crocheting, as she made blankets for each one of the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and also prayer shawls for ailing church members.

 

Carol is survived by her children: Eugene (Ann Marie) Killoren, Timothy (Nancy) Killoren, Patrick (Kris) Killoren, Michael (Marla) Killoren, Katherine (Steve) Luebke, Andrew (Lu Ann) Killoren, Christopher (Jamie) Killoren and grandchildren Noelle (Tibor) Paufler, Holly, Collin, Laura, Meghan (Dan) Wallace, Emily (partner Hani), Kasey, Nathanael (Ginna), Paul (fiance Jen Hass), Daniel (Lexi), Katie (fiance Hunter) and Sean.  And also her 9 great-grandchildren in addition to many nieces and nephews. sisters-in-law Hazel Collins and JoAnne Killoren.

 

In addition to her parents and husband Don, she was preceded in death by her two brothers John Jr. and Walter; sisters-in-law Ruth Collins and Patricia Spalding; brothers-in-law, Eugene Killoren, Kenneth Killoren, John Spalding and grand-children Emmett and Ken.

 

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, February 10, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton, with Fr. Chris Manahan officiating.  Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 9 am until 10:45 am. A Rosary Service will take place at 9 am at the church.  Burial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
