Dolores B. Curtis, age 90, of Appleton, fell asleep in the loving arms of the Lord with her family at her side on Saturday, Aug 18, 2018 at St. Paul Home. Dolores was born on May 18, 1928 to the late Frank and Mathilda (Dietzen) Kemkes in Appleton. On May 14, 1960, she was united in marriage to Dallas Curtis at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. The couple shared 56 years of marriage together with Dallas passing in Oct of 2016.
She worked at Kimberly Clark for many years. She enjoyed collecting trains with her husband and attended many train shows. They enjoyed many meals together at Angel’s Restaurant. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Parish in Appleton.
She is survived by a sister-in-law Shirley Kemkes, Appleton as well as many nieces and nephews and a godchild Joe Kilgas.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dallas; siblings: Norman, Adeline, Marie, Anna, Helen, Clara, Agnes, Lawrence, Joe, Lester, Margaret and John; and their spouses
A Mass of Resurrection for Dolores will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (404 W. Lawrence St) in Appleton with Rev O.F.M. James Leary officiating. Friends and relatives may visit directly at church on Tuesday from 9 until the time of the mass. Entombment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
