He is survived by two daughters:  Lori (Adam) Noak and Tammy (John) Murerhoff; 2 step children:  Brenda Bundy and Ed (Lisa) Hirnschall; his grandchildren; 3 sisters:  Alice (Len) Kelley, Sally (Jim) Christensen, and Della (Aubrey) Johnson; a brother Dick (Lynn) Dahl; sister-in-law Jessie Dahl; brother-in-law Roger Loret; and former daughter-in-law Becky Hirnschall.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Diane, his parents, a sister Barb, and brother Amil.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with Fr. John Katamba officiating.  Friends may visit in the Sacred Heart Room at church on Tuesday from 10 am until 11:45 am.  Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.   In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brenda, Sally, and the staff at Brewster Village for the compassionate care given to Elmer.
