Joan (Coates) Reger

January 31, 1938 ~ July 5, 2019 (age 81)

Joan Reger, age 81, passed from the temporal to eternal on Friday, July 5, 2019, with her family and friends by her side.

Born in Milwaukee on January 31, 1938, the daughter of Paul and Irene (Swanson) Coates.  After marrying Anton Reger, the man she loved, they had two sons and continued living a very happy and adventurous life sailing on Lake Michigan every chance they had.  She was beloved of all who knew her.   

Joan was a loving wife, great cook, super mom, terrific aunt, best friend grandma and spoiled great grandma. She was an avid sailor aboard numerous boats on Lake Michigan.  She loved to bowl, dance, gardening, play tennis and cards including cribbage, she was also known to have a nip or two of brandy!

Her confidence and belief in God was always evident by the fruit of His Spirit in her life, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.   

In 1998, while living in Florida Joan reaffirmed her profession of faith in the Savior before the congregation of Warrington Presbyterian Church along with her husband Anton who made his profession of faith in Christ when they joined the church. 

Joan is survived by her children: Roy (Nenita) and Alan (Yolanda); grandchildren: Roy JR, (Mary), Leoncio (Jessica); great-grandchildren Caden, Hadley and Anton.
Nieces and nephews include: Kim England, Ervin (Shelly) Jordan, Kenny (Cathy) Jordan, Karen (John) Jones, Patti (Steve) Hansen, Judy (Bear) Hoffman, and many great nieces, and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Anton Reger; her sister Joyce (Jordan) Pischke; and grandson Jeffery Reger

Returning to Wisconsin in 2004 she lived in Ripon and later in Westfield before passing away.

Friends of Joan Reger are invited to join her family members on Sunday 4 August at 2-PM, for a service of memorial, celebration and remembrance of her life.  Location is Carl's Catering 5110 Loomis RD Greendale WI.  Food (cold menu) and beverages will be served.
