Susanne Hallock passed away early Saturday morning on January 27, 2018 from a devastating stroke with her husband by her side. Susanne was born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 22, 1965, the daughter of Heinrich and Brigitte Kiesecker. Sue immigrated to the United States after marrying her first husband, an American service member who was stationed in Germany. She spent her first year in America in Georgia. After settling in the Fox cities, Sue started working for Asten Johnson, where she was currently employed. She embraced all things American while honoring her German heritage.
Susanne met her current husband, Michael Hallock, in October of 2006 and they married on September 23, 2011. In 2008 Sue took Mike to Germany to meet her family, experience German life and tour historical sites. Both agreed it was the trip of a lifetime. Sue’s sister Stefanie came from Germany last summer for a two week visit with Sue and Mike. They had a wonderful time together.
Sue enjoyed life’s simple pleasures’ such as: coffee on the patio surrounded by the beautiful flowers she lovingly and artfully planted each spring, sipping wine with family and friends around a roaring campfire and long walks with Mike. She loved sitting at water’s edge in the summer sunshine, Door county trips, a good book, chocolate, ice cream and her many friends. She loved her cats Whiskey and Boo-Boo.
She was the love of Mike’s life and a loving caring stepmom to Sean and Aaron. She was a true blessing to the Hallock family and to all who knew her. She had the purest and kindest of hearts; she was a beautiful person inside and out. We are so grateful that she graced our lives, we will miss her beyond measure.
We are forever grateful to our family, our friends and the caregivers at ThedaClark for the loving care and support for Sue and her family during this difficult time.
Sue is survived by her husband Mike; stepsons Sean and Aaron; the Hallock family; mother Brigitte Kiesecker; sister Stefanie Kiesecker; nephew Maurice; and uncle Werner Jordan. She is preceded in death by her father Heinrich Kiesecker.
A memorial service for Sue will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Brettschneider-Trettin Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
