Bruce E. Walker

Obituary

Bruce Walker, age 61, of Fremont, passed away peacefully after a battle with leukemia on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Bruce was born in Appleton on May 5, 1961, to the late Earl and Dolores (Vandenberg) Walker.  He graduated with the class of 1979 at Appleton West High School.  Following high school, Bruce worked at Kimberly Clark for many years, retiring in 2016.  He loved cars and attending as many car shows as he could go to.

He is survived by his four siblings:  Bob (Nancy) Walker, Escondido, CA, Jerry (Terri) Walker, Grand Rapids, MI, Lisa (Conroy) Price, Pine River, WI, and Steve Walker, Appleton.  He is further survived by his long-time girlfriend, Candy Quist, and his special Aunt, Aggie Merline, De Pere, and other loving family members and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Johnny.

A funeral service will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday, June 1st, at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Home.  Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 pm until 6:45 pm.  Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
