Jeanne T. Wilson, age 90, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living on Thursday, December 17, 2020, in the company of loving family members.
Jeanne was born on July 31st, 1930 to the late Adelard and Laura (Schmitz) Thibodeau. She graduated from Appleton High School with the class of 1948. On August 27, 1949, Jeanne was united in marriage to Chester Wilson at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple shared 62 years together until Chet’s passing in 2011.
Jeanne worked for many years at the downtown Gimbels/Marshall Field’s. She was also very active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton, where she was loved by all. She was keyboardist and Director of the Men’s Choir, President of the Women’s Group, and a member of the Coupon Ladies. Jeanne was a very talented artist and loved painting.
She will be missed by her two daughters: Laura (Jake) Jones, of Albuquerque, NM and Amy (Thomas Coffey) Newgard of Franklin, WI; 2 granddaughters: Anna and Kate; a brother, Vern (Risa) Thibodeau; and sister-in-law, Joanie Thibodeau. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chet, and brother Leroy Thibodeau.
A memorial gathering will take place at a future date.
