John Richard Suchoski, age 86, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Meadowbrook at Appleton. He was born to the late John and Frieda (Karsten) Suchoski on November 4, 1935, in Stevens Point. John worked for many years as a shipping and receiving clerk at Graphic Communications until his retirement. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. John was a member of the Appleton Moose Lodge and the American Legion Scarlet Guard. In 2016, he was blessed with the opportunity to be part of the Old Glory Honor Flight. John enjoyed testing his luck at the casino and playing the lottery; as well as watching Wisconsin sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He enjoyed camping outdoors and going for long walks in the woods. Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved.
John is survived by his son Doug (special friend Aileen Riggins) Suchoski and life partner Sandi Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Eleanor (Robert) Sokolowski, Rosemary (Brian) Burr and Catherine Kruckeberg.
A sharing of memories for John will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at BRETTSCHNEIDER TRETTIN NICKEL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 606 N Oneida Street, Appleton. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in John’s name.
