Ken L. Foegen, age 61, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Ken was born in Appleton on October 14, 1960, to the late Paul A. and Mary (Kneip) Foegen. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated with the class of 1979 at Xavier High School. Following high school, Ken attended U. W. Whitewater. On February 4, 1989, he was united in marriage to Kelly Strong at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton.
Ken worked as a service technician for many years at J.J. Plank/Andritz. He was an avid Packers and Badgers fan and enjoyed keeping track of stats on football and basketball games. He also loved his visits to the cabin in the woods of Newald, WI - but most of all, Ken loved spending time with his grandkids and grand puppy, Lola.
Ken will be missed by his wife, Kelly, Appleton; son Paul (Deidra) Foegen, Bloomington, IL, and their children Amara, Auggi, and Arya; daughter Lauren Foegen, Denver; his mother, Mary Foegen, Appleton; and two brothers: Keith (Lynn) Foegen, Neenah and Pat (Nancy) Foegen, Neenah. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul Foegen and his father and mother-in-law Art and Shirley Strong.
A memorial service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St. Appleton. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 9 am until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
