Kenneth J. Milbach, age 81, of Shiocton, passed peacefully and unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Ken was born in Appleton on January 18, 1940 to the late Issac and Thelma (Strong) Milbach. He graduated with the class of 59 at Appleton West High School. Following high school, Ken proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. While in the Army, Ken was with the Military Police and also trained police dogs. On December 1, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sharon Southard at St. Joseph Church in Waukesha. The couple enjoyed 59 years together. Ken was very artistic and loved carving wood and pencil drawing – but most of all, Ken enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sharon, Shiocton; son, Morgan “Butch” Milbach, Appleton; two daughters: Maureen Pickl, Appleton and Jennifer Savage, Appleton; 2 granddaughters: Enya and Lydia of Appleton; a brother, Aubrey Milbach, who resides at King; brother-in-law, Stephen Southard, Waukesha; and 2 sisters-in-law: Joanne Marx, Crivitz and Elaine Fitzpatrick, Waukesha. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward, sister Ethel, and son-in-law Tom Pickl.
A memorial service will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, April 17, at Calvary Chapel, 2136 E. Newberry St., Appleton, with Rev. Dwight Douville officiating, followed by full military honors. Friends may visit at Calvary Chapel on Saturday from 11 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
