Marge’s life journey began on August 25, 1938 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Delfosse) Stinski. Marge was a 1956 graduate of Appleton High School. Marge was lucky enough to meet the love of her life, Robert A. Jochman, and they were united in marriage on October 20, 1962. Marge and Bob shared 42 remarkable years together before his death in 2005. Marge was called to her heavenly home on March 19, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Marge enjoyed watching soap operas, game shows (especially The Wheel of Fortune), and completing her daily word search puzzles. She loved shopping, “bumming around town," with her sister, Flo, and always managing to find the deal of the day! Marge spent many hours selling fresh home grown produce at farmers markets and outside her house. She always had time to visit with people stopping by to pick up vegetables for dinner or fall decorations. She would end every sale with her famous, “Thank you and have a good day!” A Friday fish fry and Saturday night or Sunday morning mass was always on the agenda. Above all, she loved her family. She taught her children how to be caring, loving, and respectful adults. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Grandma could be spotted at every sporting event, concert, play and graduation ceremony. Although she was weak on December 31, 2020, there was no way of stopping her from attending her grandson’s wedding.
Marge will be sadly missed by her children: Brenda (William) Verhagen, Dennis Jochman, Deborah (Scott) Dreher, Brian (Kimberly) Jochman; grandchildren: Andrew (Sarah), Brandon Verhagen, Mackinsey and Samantha Dreher; siblings: Juanita (Edwin) Fehrmann, Florence (Leroy) Hoffmann; sister-in-law: Joyce (William) Anderson; brother-in-law Richard Nichols; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband Robert; siblings: Joseph (Darlene), Richard (Nancy), James, Elmer Stinski; brothers-in-law: David (Barbara), Alfred (Ruth) Jochman; and sisters-in-law: Eleanor Brecklin, Helen (Willard) Last, Esther (Donald) Kempen, Ruth (Lloyd) Brandtmeier, Nancy Nichols.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at St. Pius X Church, 500 W Marquette, St. Appleton, WI 54911 with Reverend James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Due to the current health pandemic, please wear a mask and social distance. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
