Marie Ann Van Rossum, wife of Paul, daughter of Joseph and Anna Thein, age 93, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with Pat and Pam by her side on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Marie and her husband Paul spent many wonderful years together living life to the fullest in Appleton. They enjoyed their winters in Destin, Florida, summers at their cottage on Shawano Lake, and their numerous worldwide travels. Marie was very proud of her many years of work at Radiology Associates of Appleton. She also loved volunteering for many years at St. Elizabeth Hospital and her work as a Eucharistic Minister. Marie retired to spend more time with Paul, her grandchildren, and most recently her great grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Craig) LeCapitaine-Bauer, Appleton and her son Pat (Cami) Van Rossum, Florida. Marie had many special friends who she saw often and loved dearly.
We know mom and dad are now happily continuing their life together.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, August 23rd, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St. Appleton, by The Very Reverend Father Luke Ferris. She will be buried next to her husband Paul at Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Ascension/Compassus Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Marie.
