Mark V. “Vinnie” Busnelli passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on the evening of November 6, 2021, at the age of 64. He was born April 6, 1957, in Jersey City, New Jersey to Stephen and Delores (Pride) Busnelli.
Mark was loved and cherished by many people, including his devoted wife: Dee Dee of 40 years, his 11 children: Mark, Josh, Savannah, Brandon, Tony (Sydney), Dominic, Callan (Savannah), Spencer, Emilio, Sofia, and Angelyna; his grandchildren: Jacob, Emerson, Colten, Declan, Mason, and Amelia. He is also survived by his siblings: Stephen Jr., Clay, Brenda (Ken), Deborah (James), David (LuAnn), and Tommy, his extended family the Behnke’s, best friends the Krause’s, and adopted-like daughter Hannah Haffley. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen, mother Delores, brother John, in-laws Bert Eno, and brother-in-law Philip Blake.
Mark always said that there are two kinds of people in life: followers and leaders… and Mark was a leader. Since he was young he dreamed about accomplishing many different endeavors. He was extremely intelligent, was a guru in many talents, and was self-taught, always striving to learn new things. Not only was he self-taught but he also taught others… or offered them a book to read so they’d stop bothering him. He indulged in many hobbies and was an entrepreneur in many fields. He had built many small businesses including a painting company, web design and hosting, deck renewal and more. Mark was always finding new ways to build something up. And we can’t forget how Mark was known for his quirky attitude, and his iconic phrases and outrageous rhymes and poetry.
Of all his roles and accomplishments, he was by far proudest to be called ‘Dad’ or ‘Papa’. Mark centered his life around his love for his family - he instilled strong values in his own children, who look forward to continuing his legacy of appreciating where you come from and what you’ve been given. He loved spending time with family camping, going on motorcycle rides, watching the Packer games and UFC fights, and celebrating halloween with his family at Funset Boulevard. He has passed these same passions down to his children. Most of all, his family and friends knew his house was always open… and the fridge was always full.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Kimberly with Pastor John Sitcler officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM at the church until the time of service, followed by a small reception. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Mark’s name.
