Dick “Pork Chop” Acord, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the age of 66.  Dick was born in Appleton on February 26, 1955, to the late Donald and Lila (Schultz) Acord.  Dick worked at American Can/James River Paper for 26 years and at Walmart.  He loved watching the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers games.  Dick was also active in bowling, softball, pool, and darts.  He enjoyed playing cribbage with friends.  His “Kitty” has been his faithful companion the last couple of years.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

He is survived by his 3 sons:  Rick (Betsy), Mike (Kim), and Spenser Acord; 4 grandchildren:  Jacob, Madison, Noah, and Lily; 2 sisters:  Kathy (Wes) Schroeder and Mary (Jim) Collar; and a brother, Bob (Linda) Acord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lila Acord.

Dick’s wishes were to be cremated with no funeral service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fresenius of Appleton and Living Tree Estates for their caring and compassion during Dick’s final days.

Kathy, Jody, Bob and family:  Sad to hear of Dick's passing. Glad Dick and I were able to keep in touch via phone calls during Covid 19 shutdown. He will always be in my heart.

Dick had a great sense of humor he made everyone laugh.He wasn't shy at all he could talk to everyone he seen about anything we had alot of great laughs you will be missed Tammy Cantrall
