Robert “Bob” Donald Kirchner
age 74, of Appleton, passed away on September 1, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center after a battle with COVID-19. Bob was born on February 27, 1947, to the late Donald and Bette (Cook) Kirchner. Bob proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. Bob worked for 3M and Decision One as a service technician. Bob attended Community Church of Appleton and enjoyed serving wherever needed. Bob was proud of his children, but he was especially proud of his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ann Kirchner; his children: Dan (Danean), Michael (Heather) and Katie; stepchildren: Shelly (Scott) and Jeff (Erin); grandchildren: Kara (Ryan), Kyle, Kaleb, Kalli, Libbey, Remi, Tate, Nicholas, Emily, Kyrie, Phoenix, Lyric; sibling: Karen (Ken) Bevis; sisters-in-law: Carol Wilson and Elaine Reynolds; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Lois, his daughter Diane, his brother Roger; sister-in-law Kathryn Williams and brothers-in-law: Gary Wilson and Norman Reynolds.
A Memorial Service for Bob will take place at 10:30 AM at Community Church (3701 N. Gillett St) Appleton on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, with visitation beginning at 9:30. Military honors will follow the service performed by VFW Post #2778 of Appleton.
