“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
Robin Lee Sawlsville, age 56, of Appleton went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 13th, 2021.
Robin was born on April 7,1964 in Racine, WI to Rodney and Lorraine (Dawiedczyk) Sawlsville. He grew up in Neenah, WI and graduated from Neenah High School in 1982. He excelled at wrestling and football throughout his school years. Robin attended UW-Whitewater, and then went on to work for AAA Pet Supplies for 17 years, where he cherished working alongside his father Rodney.
On January 2, 1988, Robin became one with Becky (Sell). They lived in Green Bay for 4 years before settling in Appleton and raising their three beautiful “gifts from the Lord” – Ryan, Josh, and Jessica. For the past 20 years, Robin worked as a dedicated Supervisor and Manager at General Pet Supplies. He was instrumental in building and expanding their grocery division. He enjoyed his job along with all its challenges and opportunities, but most of all, he loved the people he worked with.
Robin was an avid hunter and fisherman; he always enjoyed spending time with others in God’s creation – whether it be in the woods, on the water, or at “The Shack.” He especially loved casting for muskies and northerns as well as duck hunting with his faithful hunting companion, Misty Waters.
Robin had an amazing passion for working with and mentoring the youth. He devoted many years to coaching football with the 1,000 Yarders, Shiocton High School, Seton Junior High, St. Mary’s Central High School and Wilson Middle School. As his children grew, Robin loved taking an active part in all their activities and endeavors by coaching their various teams in soccer, basketball, t-ball and football. If there was a need, he filled it so his kids could be part of every possible opportunity. He cherished those occasions to further invest in his children and their teams, no matter what sport they chose to take part in.
Robin loved the Lord and enjoyed many years discipling and serving the youth in the Breakout program at Christ the Rock, along with ushering during Saturday night services. He also volunteered many years at Lifest and various other activities and programs. Robin was an amazing man of God. He truly fleshed out his faith, loving and serving God and others so faithfully.
Robin loved spending time with family and friends; he was always encouraging, bringing joy, laughter and love to everyone around him. Robin was the life of any room he entered and did all he could to bring a smile to everyone’s face. He was an amazing husband, father and man of God – one that can never be replaced. His smiles, embraces, hugs, kisses, words and love will forever be missed,
Robin was preceded in death by grandparents, his father Rodney, his brother-in-law Jesse Sell, and his father-in law and mother-in-law Donald and Sally Sell. He will forever be loved and remembered by his wife, Becky and children, Ryan, Josh (Amber), and Jessica; as well as his mother Lorraine, brother Todd (sister-in-law Lori, niece Kristen, nephew Jason), sister Beth (brother-in-law Mike, nieces Anna and Mia), brother-in-law Bob (sister-in-law Sue, niece Bobbie Sue, nephews David and Donny), and sister-in-law Nicole (brother-in-law Mike, niece Presley, nephews Tyler, Elijah, and Isaiah). He will also be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Robin will be interred at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton
