Ronald L. Hopfensperger, age 81, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Ron was born in Appleton on October 31, 1939, to the late Roland and Angeline (Hartzheim) Hopfensperger. On September 19, 1964, he was united in marriage to Marlene Rohloff at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple has enjoyed 56 years together. Ron owned and operated Hopfensperger Construction for many years, retiring in 1994. Following retirement, he and Marlene moved to Sturgeon Bay and spent their winters in Naples, FL. Ron was an avid boater.

Ron is survived by his wife, Marlene, of Appleton; two daughters: Tracy (Robert) Belling, Appleton, and Christine (Mark) Klaubauf, Kaukauna; his son, Tim (Ashley) Hopfensperger, Barneveld, WI; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ashman, CA; and a brother, Tom (Cindy) Hopfensperger, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Hoersch, brother, Terry Hopfensperger, and brother-in-law John Ashman.

Per Ron’s wishes, private family services were held.
