Salvador “Sal” Licona, age 76 of Little Chute, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born to the late Hermino and Consuelo (Cantu) Licona on April 25, 1945 in Texas. Sal later married Maria Torres on Valentine’s Day 1969. He enjoyed: gardening, cooking, and collecting coins and rocks. Most of all, Sal enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Sal is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria; his children: Lonnie Licona, Lori (Marty) Blank, and Leslie (Nathan) Montemayer; grandchildren: Cassandra, Ariana, Olivia and Ethan; brothers: David (Theresa) Licona, Henry Licona, and Ezekiel Licona; sisters Juanita (Abdon) Martinez and Adela (Jesus) Trevino; brothers-in-law Apolito Morales and Amado Martinez; Maria’s family; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Lucia Morales and Antonia Martinez.
A Memorial Service for Sal will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at BRETTSCHNEIDER TRETTIN NICKEL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 606 N Oneida Street, Appleton. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Face coverings are strongly recommended.
